What should I look for when it comes to my landscape?

How much should I spend on a landscape design?

A full landscape transformation that takes care of fixing an existing space in your front yard will be around $20k. If you decide to start from scratch, you’re looking to spend around $150k. This includes firepits, paver patios, pergolas, decks, outdoor kitchens, flower and garden beds, trees, fences, and more. It’s important to keep in mind that every item is quoted differently and everything depends on the materials and features you go for. For instance, the prices for grass begin at $10k, the irrigation system is around $5k, the patio would be somewhere between $15- $20k, and the pergola structure is around $10k.

How fast can you complete my landscaping project?

Depending on the time of the year, the season, and the weather, your landscaping project will be completed in around 7-10 days. The time when we get started on the project itself depends on the month and how quickly we design the space depends on the level of complexity of the project. Usually, a garden takes around one week to complete, while a complex outdoor space takes 10 days to a month to complete.

Who is going to be working on my landscaping project?

Landscape designer and owner Jonathan Colton will personally design your space. Together with his wife, Flavia, he will oversee the successful implementation of every item in your new landscape. Land Designs by Colton works with an in-house team of craftsmen who are dedicated to bringing your outdoor space to life fast, without sacrificing quality.

Can I use your design with another landscaper?

We don’t recommend this for a single reason: not everyone can build the landscape designs we come up with. Many landscapers have their own way of doing things, and when they’re faced with a more intricate design that they don’t know much about, there are many chances they’ll fail to deliver, simply because they didn’t think of the design as we did.

What do you recommend for a complete landscape?

A complete landscape would have a paver patio, a shade structure, a fire pit, and a small patch of lawn or a xeriscape yard. You can take the space further and add an outdoor kitchen as well, some retaining walls with flower beds, and, of course, outdoor lighting.
