How fast can you build an outdoor kitchen?

Generally, a medium-sized outdoor kitchen takes us about 1 month to finish. First, we’ll do the design, which takes anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks.

We’ll order the materials and wait another 2 weeks or more, depending on availability. From there, we’ll start installing the paver patio, build the bar, and install the countertop, backsplash, and appliances.

How much should I spend on my outdoor kitchen?

Outdoor kitchens can be as cheap as just $20k or as expensive as over $60k, all depending on size, features, equipment, and complexity. The best way to get an estimate is to request a quote, and we’ll call you back within a business day to discuss your project.

How Your Outdoor Kitchen Connects to the Rest of the Yard

A grill retailer sells you the appliance and the stainless cabinet it sits in. Everything around it is a design decision. That’s why at Land Designs By Colton, one crew draws and builds the whole yard.

Grade and levels. Most Denver yards slope, so the kitchen needs a retaining wall or a set of steps to sit level.
Materials for how you use it. The counter surface has to handle drinks being set down every few minutes, and the paver patio has to take a full evening of traffic for years without shifting.
After dark. A pergola or a fire feature keeps the space usable once the sun sets behind the Front Range.
Water and drainage. The grade is planned carefully so water drains away during a hard August storm.
Built and permitted. Because these are structures on footings, the work meets City of Denver plan review and permit requirements where they apply.
